Hard To Find Recruits

A pharmaceutical company exploring options for treating Type 2 diabetes in the Chinese community wanted individuals of Chinese origin who had Type 2 diabetes, spoke Mandarin or Cantonese, and were treating their condition with alternative methods.

DPI leveraged a network of contacts in the Chinese-American community to find qualified respondents. In addition to RDD phone recruitments in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, we placed advertisements in all local Chinese newspapers.

We located enough respondents to conduct the study, and used dual-language audio/video taping to capture focus-group conversations in both the native languages and English. The result? A very satisfied client.

Latino Interviews

Our client, a research firm that studied more than 10,000 Latino households per year, needed bilingual interviewers. To ensure fluency in both Spanish and English, the client required interviewers to pass a stringently administered exam.

More than 98 percent of our interviewers passed the test on the first try – the highest success rate the client had experienced in any vendor to date. When we did the studies, we used dual-language audio/video taping to capture conversations in both languages, and delivered exactly the results the client wanted.

High Volume Projects

A Fortune 100 financial services provider came to DPI with a challenging requirement. The firm needed to measure 27,000 consumers’ awareness of, usage of and satisfaction with primary financial institutions in 27 states.

Interviews had to be conducted in English, Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese and Korean. And the project was time-sensitive.

DPI used its extensive resources and depth and breadth of experience to meet all the client’s requirements on time, accurately, and thoroughly.
